Hi, I'm Mary Ann and the owner of Best Kept Books.   I'm passionate about helping small businesses find creative solutions to their bookkeeping.  Both my parents were small business owners and I know how much work goes into keeping a small business running.  Watching my parents run their business inspired me and I made the decision to study accounting in college.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Appalachian State University and I'm a certified Advanced QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.

I've worked for some of the largest employers in Western North Carolina in various industries for the past 20 years.  They include Biltmore Estates, Baxter Healthcare, Mission Health Care System and Medstream Anesthesia.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with my husband and dog.  During the summer you can find me on Lake James enjoying the sun and water.
